Due to a break in a two-winged terrace door made from wood was heavily damaged. A large wooden part was torn out from the frame at the height of the lock.
In case of damages of this kind the damaged part is removed using a special milling technique. It is mostly performed fully lengthwise on the affected profile. Afterwards, new wood of same type and grain is inserted and glued.
The partly renewed door profile is grinded, primed and repeatedly treated with thick film glaze colour. In order to avoid differences in its surface the whole door element is finally painted and the strike plates mounted.
After often necessary adjustments the terrace door is restored in form, functioning, stability and appearance.
